Another two skulls cast at the weekend and both have gone rather awry due to incomplete burnout of the investment.  Pictures soon.

Dammit, the third skull investment cracked in half in the oven.  I went on to cast it anyway and the result is skull 3 which, to be different, I have gone on to semi-polish.  I'm having some serious issues with the investment part of the process so need to go back and look again at what I might be doing wrong.

Posted pictures of the first two skulls.  Both are imperfect and unique.  The first has a cranial crack and the jaw has shrunk as the metal cooled and the second has lots of imperfections in the metal where wax from an improper burnout casued lots of vapour to bubble through the metal. Another six skulls in various stages of mould making, but therse will take a while.  One is vanilla - another attempt to create a good casting.  After than is a patterned skull and still later a horned skull.
